Rainfall scarf
You may recall during 2020 I documented the maximum temperature of each day by knitting a temperature scarf. This year I’m knitting a rainfall scarf, one row per day for the year, using shades of blue when it rains & eyelet rows to separate the months. Knitted in hand-dyed mini skeins from Dyeing to Knit & Cloud Forest Yarns.
We don’t get a huge amount of rain; our long-term yearly average rainfall is 433mm (17”) & 52 wet days. We will see how this plays out during the year. And yes… that is only 0.5mm for all of April. We are hoping for some rain real soon.
I liked your busy temperature scarf. I don't think the rainfall scarf will be as busy.
ReplyDeleteNo where near as busy! There is a nice subtlety about this one that I just love.
DeleteI look forward to seeing it.
