Hmm. It seems adjustments are often made under contortionist circumstances! I'm also thinking the final piece of equipment has been added and maybe the idea is to sow seed. Here's hoping it all goes well. Alphie
You are spot on Alphie. We can now deep rip, disc, harrow, sow and roll all in one pass. Last night we sowed a paddock of lucerne. We will see how it all germinates before we continue onto other paddocks.
We added the mesh to the roller to stop seed being sown too deep i.e. stop the roller biting in deeper into the soil and pushing the seed down further. Sowing depth we are targeting is 10mm. And yes it is also to leave the paddock nice and level.
ALways something to adjust and fine tune.
ReplyDeleteI am so nervous seeing people around farm equipment like that.
ReplyDeleteHopefully it was a simple fix, but it doesn't look like it would be.
ReplyDeleteI hope it was turned off

DeleteEverything just has to work right.
ReplyDeleteNice capture.
Interesting roller... leveling while keeping it from being compacted?
