Is it my imagination or is he much thinner than the adult Kookaburras I've seen.
Yes, he/she is much thinner than the adult. Considering he is only 1 week out of the nest I was surprised how big he actually is though.
Love the name of that bird!
I was impressed by the Kookaburra and especially by the eyes (oh, those eyes!) when I visited Australia ten years ago (already). Time flies... hope the birds will as well.Cheers,Jeanneke.
