I collect postcards but I am very specific in my quest – I collect vintage hay making postcards
(which will be no surprise for those that have
been following this blog for a while).
Many of my postcards date back to the early
1900’s. I am fascinated by the scale of the hay stacks and different
techniques used. A moment in time captured in each postcard.
Are you a collector? What do you collect?
Love your post cards.
ReplyDeleteI am a hoarder rather than a collector. Books (by the thousands) and earrings (by the hundreds).
No collections here but I enjoyed yours!
ReplyDeleteI used to collect wine labels but it go a bit out of hand!!! Love these post cards. Happy weekend, Diane
ReplyDeleteThey had a cleverness about them when you really look at what they could accomplish.
ReplyDeleteI so love these....I love looking at old photographs so much. Now I will always be watching for old postcards like this. I guess you could say I collect fabric! And also books about living/moving to Alaska, Yukon, points north.
ReplyDeleteLoved looking at those postcards, so very interesting.
ReplyDeleteDon't collect a thing.
Very nicely done!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of different ways of making or storing hay. I guess they had to wait for our John Deere stuff to get created.
ReplyDeleteI have a collection of old Blue Mountains postcards that I gathered in various markets in the UK years ago. My other collections are glass paperweights and zillions of books. I am trying to "uncollect" now.
