Here’s to the pollinators.
Pollinators are just so important to not only
flowering plants but also agriculture. 1 out of every 3 bites of food that you eat
is there because of pollinators.
This week the Wild Pollinator Count has been calling
for citizen scientists to submit a count of native pollinators. It only takes
10 minutes to get involved.
Hurry. Last day today to submit your count.
Here's to the pollinators indeed. And protecting them. I believe that in parts of China they prefer to pollinate by hand. Which made me shudder.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture.
ReplyDeleteYes, they're so important. Lovely photo :D)
ReplyDeleteDelicate capture - we would all starve without bees doing their work.
ReplyDeleteI just read that our bumblebees are now listed as endangered. We need to all do what we can...
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful
ReplyDeleteLast spring/early summer I saw more types of bumble bee in my garden than ever before as well as more in total. But I live in an area where people stopped using herbicides years ago because there is no virtually no agriculture left on the Island.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous capture. Too late for me to join the count, but I do hope the numbers are high.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photos, I don't think we will be seeing any bees now until next spring. Cheers iane
