More like a heavy dew rather than rain unfortunately. We have only had 2mm over the last few days.

Yes, it is a bottlebrush. They are really beautiful and add colour to a grey winter day.
I can remember a bottlebrush plant in the collection at one of the botanic gardens I've been associated with at some stage in my life but can't recall which.
