The everyday of our family farm
That reminded me (I'm not quite sure why) that when I was a youngster heat and spontaneous combustion were big worries in hay stored in barns.
Still is a worry for some, but if baled correctly i.e. at the right moisture with no green material, then it isn't a concern.
Well, I never! Never stack your hay in the shed if it was 'green', I seem to remember.
'Green' colour we like, 'green' because of uncured material we definitely don't like. We don't bale the hay unless the material is thoroughly cured.
Framing has got sooooo scientific!!! Cheers Diane
That sure is interesting. Didn't know about that.
