He certainly looks at home in these surroundings. He's an unwanted bird in the city. Grazing for scraps of food, especially on sidewalk cafes and jumping onto the tables. Not a pretty sight. We had coffee on the waterfront at Surfers Paradise this week. The waitress was constantly shooing one away with a spray bottle of water.
Indeed--- quite a strutter. Big beak, big legs, powerful looking feet. Quite a portrait!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mess with him/her.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see a bird on your blog that I recognise: there are a lot of Ibises in the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney.
ReplyDeleteWonderful capture!
ReplyDeleteGood to see an Ibis on the move. Have a great weekend Diane
ReplyDeleteHe's got quite a long beak.
