Kayaking on the Barmah Lake.
About an hour west of our farm, down the
Murray River is the Barmah National Park. Together with the adjoining Millewa
Forest it forms the largest River Red Gum forest in the world. The Barmah Lake
is a Ramsar-listed wetland, a haven for waterbirds & a wonderful place to spend the afternoon kayaking (after raking hay in the morning of course).
Enjoy the relaxing times after all that work!
ReplyDeleteA peaceful way to spend the day.
ReplyDeleteNice fun photo.
ReplyDeleteSome well deserved fun!
ReplyDeleteLovely to see that you get time to relax.
ReplyDeleteI will have to put this national Park on my ever growing 'to do' list.
Having great fun on the water and well deserved.
ReplyDeleteI'm a tad envious I have to say (of the kayaking, not the raking!).
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to see another part of your world!
ReplyDeleteI would love to spend time there filming the birds. Diane
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to spending some time kayaking this summer. Only made it out once last year.
