No, not rice. We don't grow rice on our farm as the soils are not suitable. This is actually seedling lucerne getting it's first watering. My shift entailed riding out to the paddock on the motorbike, getting bogged, trying to pull it out of the bog, succeeding, changing the bays that are irrigating, setting up timers for irrigating throughout the night so I don't have to go out again until the next morning.
And what a generous reward it was.
