This rake is a Berrima Engineering rake made locally at Deniliquin. We are raking 3 rows into 1 with this rake. The width of the rake is 12m (40ft). Our mower cutting width is 4.5m (15ft)each row so we can just get the 3 rows. So yes, the scale is much bigger now than what it used to be.
Randy looks at my Facebook page and he saw this photo over the weekend. He said, "Well, that has to be from your Australian friend." This week, the guys plan to load and haul hay that we baled last summer to a hay company that's around an hour away. Randy hopes to be able to load and haul at least one semi load a day. It's supposed to be nice weather this week and the fields have dried out from the ice a couple of weeks ago. I hope to get some photos taken this week of the process.
A beautiful morning before a very hot day I suspect.
ReplyDeleteYou suspected correctly! And even hotter today.
DeleteI am still amazed at the scale of such machines. In my memory that would be four runs to do what one machine does in one.
