That would liven you up if you pulled the bale apart and found it inside..... Back in the drought the boys found a dead black snake in a bale of hay as they pulled the bale apart pushing into the mixer......
One of the (many) good things about New Zealand is that there are no snakes and in the UK we do have a poisonous snake (the Adder or Viper) but I've never seen one in all my years of hiking (there are none on the Isle of Lewis where I live). The only time I've ever had an encounter was in France when I nearly trod on a Viper when wearing jandals/flip-flops. My Australian friends always have tales about encounters with venomous snakes although they all have lived to tell the tale.
Hmm. Not a fan, but not an ending I like either.

ReplyDeleteThe youthful me would have said, good. Now I say unfortunate collateral damage.
ReplyDeleteI usual avoid snakes.
ReplyDeleteOh that's an unpleasant surprise!
ReplyDeleteA biggy!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's right! A lot of your snakes are dangerous. Pretty amazing shot.
ReplyDeleteThis one is very dangerous! It is actually the second most venomous land snake in the world, so one to be very wary of.
DeleteDo snakes get in there often?
ReplyDeleteWe do see the odd snake around the farm, mainly Brown snakes like this one, or Tiger snakes. They rarely end up in the bale like this.
DeleteFantastic shot, rather funny really for a deadly snake! :)
ReplyDeleteOh shame, I like snakes!
