The mighty Murray River is
in major flood at the moment.
Today it will peak at Tocumwal.
This is only the
fifth time since records began in 1870 that the Murray River at Tocumwal
has been hit by a major flood. Tocumwal itself is protected by a levee bank but
the main highway across the state border is now closed due to flood water.
I hope that you and yours can stay safe.
ReplyDeleteToo little water, or too much. Both can be devastating.
Ick..... Hope it goes down soon.
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful. I am so glad I was at Tocumwall recently to see the difference!
ReplyDeletehope all goes well and river goes down to its original position soon .
ReplyDeletefloods are scary in my country during monsoon .may God bless all from its harm
I met this problem in Western Australia back in 1998 north of Shark Bay and was quite bemused by the fact that it was simply impossible to drive up (or down) the West of the country for days.
ReplyDeleteI hope there wasn't anybody who badly in effect!
ReplyDeleteThe weather now of days is either too much or too little.
ReplyDeleteSure hope your house is far away from the river, up on a hill. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteMighty impressive. The Murray needs it. I hope people's livelihoods are not effected too badly.
ReplyDeleteWow! Interesting weather all over the globe! Hope all is well for you!
ReplyDeleteI have read (or seen in the movies) that when the river flooded there, no one can go anywhere because the roads are under water. It might be the very difficult time for all of you.
ReplyDeleteHope the water will go down soon.
Prayers for all those affected.
