Totally agree with Bill - drought or flood, never enough in between. I have a friend stuck in Birdsville, but it would be amazing to see the west green.
I was at Bathurst on the weekend. The river there was up high and out Oberon way creeks were all spilling over their banks but fortunately our little drive didn't end up at any closed roads.
How far out of the way did you have to go? There is some flooding in the NW part of our state. A weather system was stationary over them last evening, and they got a lot of rain in a little time. Hope you get some relief soon! (Isn't it amazing how we go from drought to deluge!?)
Pain in the butt..... Trip to town yesterday was pretty bad...... Plenty of closed roads around here to.....
ReplyDeleteOuch. Very temporarily I hope.
ReplyDeleteWow it looks so wet and we are parched here!!! Hope it is not too long for you to get back home. Diane
ReplyDeleteSheesh---- either not enough, or too much!

ReplyDeleteThat's one thing I've never encountered here: a road closed by heavy rain (they would never be open!).
