Actually it was last night's sunset... but you have no way of knowing that unless you have seen our yards! Thank you, Diane. It is always wonderful to hear from you.
Last night the cattle were heading into the local market which will be held today. The cattle have a curfew overnight as they are sold on c/kg basis rather than per head.
Australian beef prices are at record levels due to a shortage of beef. Cattle numbers are down because of the drought through much of northern Australia. Our prices don't come near your US prices but they are way better then what they used to be.
The impending rain has everyone a bit worried. Water storages are full so it will just runoff and cause further flooding. What a contrast between southern Australia and the north where Queensland is still about 80% drought declared. Australia is certainly the land of "droughts and flooding rains".
Great shot, I am presuming this is sunrise! Diane
