That's a neat idea (assuming these are not natural ponds). England (sic) used to have ponds everywhere but with the concrete and asphalt and the building on areas which used to allow water to soak away England is becoming more prone to flooding.
Our country is very flat so good drainage is crucial, especially in years like this of above average rainfall. We did a lot of work earlier in the year completing our whole farm drainage recycle system. And it has worked really well.
I am very glad. How long till harvest?
ReplyDeleteThis paddock of oats will be cut for hay late October. We do have other paddocks of oats that we will harvest for grain in December.

DeleteI don't know what a dish drain is but given the amount of rain lately I am glad that are working well.
ReplyDeleteJust as well. I spotted the irrigation line. I guess it must be going rusty!
