The last time I saw standing water like that in Australia was in WA north of Shark Bay when the roads were all cut after a cyclone. I don't think I have ever seen rain in the East.
It has certainly been raining in the East this winter/spring. Many areas are flooded, roads are closed, parts of towns are being evacuated and sandbagging is happening.
It sure is wetter than usual. We got bogged backing our caravan to it's normal resting place out at our block earlier this week … had to get a tow truck to pull us out .. and it is currently marooned waiting for things to dry out a bit.
At last we had 11mm last night, the garden though needs a lot more which does not look like happening. Great shot Diane
ReplyDeleteI am sure that rainfall was very much appreciated. We also had another 11mm overnight.
DeleteWet critters in the background.... Good capture.
ReplyDeleteIt is. And I can remember himself taking out a gum tree as he was heading down a wet dirt road one evening. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteYikes! That looks a little slippery.
ReplyDeleteIt's looks a little after raining.
ReplyDeleteWe finally got some rain overnight here in Vermont. It has been so precious this summer. Your shot reminds me of mud season here in the spring.
