I was pretty excited when I realised what this little guy was. We have a lot of Willie Wagtails, but I hadn't come across a Fantail before.
Lucky you we had a little rain last night but we need so much more!! Diane
Delightful. It's so exciting to spot and then photograph any small bird. They just love to flit here and there so quickly.

The Fantail is my favourite New Zealand bird: so companionable (as it eats the flies that gather near one).
