Applying Charlie Carp -
a fertilizer which is made locally entirely from the European Carp, an introduced pest that
is devastating the rivers and water systems of the Murray Darling Basin.
What a great use for carp. You would probably know the recipe fo cooking a cockatoo? Where you put it in a pot of water with two stones, boil for eight hours and then throw away the cockatoo and eat the stones. They will be more tender. Ditto carp, although apparently Europeans can do something with it, but it is still not very good.
Andrew's comment was a coffee sprayer for me! Not that I'd want to harm a cockatoo.... This seems like a wonderful plan. And your picture, as always, is perfect.

ReplyDeleteLove that sky. Charlie Carp is a very popular fertiliser here.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great use for the pest, hope that it diminishes numbers. Beautiful sky. Diane
ReplyDeleteA sky like that must make working late worthwhile. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I spotted that had I missed it previously.
Beautiful colours and a wonderful way to turn a problem into a solution.
