The first job of the day is feeding the cattle. This photo shows a bale of lucerne silage about to be dropped into the mixer wagon. Another bale plus some grain & water will then be added. The mixer wagon cuts up the bales and mixes it with grain etc. It works on the same concept as a food processor in the kitchen, just on a bigger scale.
Beautiful sky.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your milestone...
Hopefully after a cuppa.
ReplyDeleteWhen the lighting is right one can get some awesome photos... like this one.
ReplyDeleteI love the sunrise colour, but I can't work out what this first job is.

DeleteMind boggling scale! What an amazing time saver.
DeleteLovely picture and beautiful sky.
ReplyDeleteIt looks good but not so good here as it would be around 4am.
ReplyDeleteWe are the middle of winter here so sun is rising much later. This photo was taken at 7.34am
DeleteA meeting of dawn monsters... I like the light.
ReplyDeleteEarly but at least you get to see the sunrise. : )
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that Helen asked, and you answered, what you were doing. Modern farming's not like it was when I were a lad.
