Are you planting alfalfa (lucerne)? I hope you get a nice, gentle rain on your planted seeds! We are nearing the planting of corn. We don't plant all that much, but it's a big crop for my parents and brother. We could use some rain, too.
We are sowing an oats/cover mix into corn stubble on a local dairy farm. Corn is not huge over here because of its high water usage but it is gaining momentum. A lot of the corn grown locally is on dairy farms for silage, though there are some croppers experiment with corn for grain.
Seeds need moisture. Good luck.
