I hope "Heuy" gives you a good drenching. I think I read that you are down in the Riverina area and I know how much rain is needed down there. Cheers colin
That is a good question! For the record the photo is straight from my camera and not altered.
As to whether the sky is bluer here than elsewhere… it does depend on what time of day you take the photo, the light and which direction you are facing in relation to the sun. A bluer sky will always be in the opposite direction to the sun. This photo was taken facing east mid-afternoon with the sun behind me.
We are also quite a low elevation, only at 107 m (351 ft) above sea level, and our air pollution levels are very, very low out here with no city smog etc. These factors would all play a part in the blueness of the sky I would think.
I have been searching through my files now...I have found some that come closer to this than I remembered, other than the one I mentioned to you earlier. Still, none are as blue as this! I have yet to visit the one blog I thought might have some.

This looks like summer in Kansas. And I love a tree with "personality."
ReplyDeleteThere's a storm building up here in Scotland too but all we have is grey skies and more grey skies.
ReplyDeleteSure hope the rain continues and helps the crops grow.
ReplyDeleteLovely sky. Hope the storm didn't be so very huge..
ReplyDeleteLove the clouds, the tree off to the side. This is a gorgeous picture.
ReplyDeleteBlue and white and green.
ReplyDeleteA holy trinity.

I just love that sky! Your sky looks even bluer than our skies ever get...wondering if that can truly be.
