Kind of. It is a gravel pit that we are able to pump a little bit of water out of. It is, what is known as, a "prior stream" and has a bed of river sand. The water that you see is ground water, ie coming from within the ground seeping in through the sand. The ground water here is about 4-5 metres below the surface.
The reflection adds so much more to the scene.

ReplyDeleteNo, not really. The water seeps in (and out) through the layer of sand at the bottom.
