There is isn't there - the calm before the storm. It had me quite concerned though. I didn't stay out long to photograph as it was looking so nasty, intense and moving quickly. Seeking shelter was wise.
Very strong winds and heavy rain here. 30kms away 10 houses lost their roofs. Australia doesn't get big tornadoes like you in the US, but we do get the occasional small one like this one.
The oats won't be harvested for another month or so. The real test will be when the header comes into the field, but at this stage they are still looking good.
There's something beautiful about the sky before a storm. Great capture.

We got some of that - but mostly it was wind and noise. Rain is always a blessing though - and I love those dramatic skies.
