They are irrigated. Actually they are part of the oat trial plots that we have on the irrigation. Lots of different varieties and therefore variations in the time of flowering and maturing. Has been interesting to observe.
I was quite taken with the oats flowering. It is not something that I have taken particular notice of before and I wonder if that is because it is not usually a variety that we grow, and it's flowers are much more pronounced.
Early? Or about right?
ReplyDeleteAbout right for irrigated oats.
DeleteLooking real GOOD!
ReplyDeleteLovely to see. Nice capture..
ReplyDeleteWere these irrigated or not irrigated? Nonetheless, they look good.

ReplyDeleteThat's another wonderful shot.
ReplyDeleteVery neat. I've never seen an oat flower before. - Looks like you had a visitor in your shot as well. Shoo fly, don't bother me.
ReplyDeleteOh, thank-you so much for posting this...I wanted to see closer-up photos of oats. This is wonderful.
