Thank you for the introduction. We used to made a LOT of little square bales of hay and straw, one of the markets we supplied was for straw bale buildings. It was always fascinating dropping of a truck load of the straw, often in hard to get to locations, and seeing exactly what the owners were intending the build. The designs were always unique.
I love the Green Acres comments...I remember mom using chicken manure for certain things....I am thinking cucumbers but not positive. We only had a few chickens and had to get rid of them when I was maybe 5-6....because my brother was allergic to them.
Aroma or good honest pong?
ReplyDeleteTruth be told it is probably more a pong than a sweet perfume.
DeleteWhat is wrong with non aromatic good old fashioned potash and super.
ReplyDeleteNothing! But we like to use organic fertiliser as much as possible.
DeleteGreeeen Acres is the place to be, da la de dah! I can't remember the rest of the song, but I have a feeling yours will be very green indeed.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bonnie. That's what we are hoping for.

LOL we used to watch that show as kids. Yes, it even made it onto Australian TV.
DeleteSpread it around! Don't mind it nearly as much as the liquified ... uh...residuals they spray around some of the farms around here. Ick.
ReplyDeleteDepends on the aroma! Some of the farmer's here use some very smelly stuff! Great shot. Diane
